Insignia of the Sacred Heart – "Heart of Jesus, save France" (reproduction 1940)
This insignia is the handmade reproduction of a small Catholic emblem worn in France around 1940, on which appears the invocation: "Heart of Jesus, save France."
This type of insignia was then worn as a sign of faith and trust in the protection of the Sacred Heart, particularly during troubled periods of the country’s history.
Each insignia is entirely made in our workshop, in the spirit of simple and popular devotional objects of the past: tricolor background and text printed on canvas, embroidered Sacred Heart and hand-stitched border.
A small sign of prayer and attachment to the French Catholic tradition.
Features:
- artisanal manufacturing
- Sacred Heart hand embroidered
- tricolor background and texts printed on cotton canvas
- hand-stitched festoon edge
- back of the badge: red wool sheet (100% wool)
- size of the badge: 3.5cm x 4cm
- Loop: grosgrain ribbon or without
